Invitation from the ADA President

Invitation to Israeli dietitians
By Sylvia Escott-Stump, MA, RD, LDN
President of the ADA

Please join me in celebrating the 10th Israeli Nutrition Week and American Overseas Dietetic Association (AODA) Regional Conference, Mediterranean Diet in the Life Cycle, being held June 12-14, 2012 in Tel Aviv. I would like to personally invite you to attend this unique collaborative event, which will bring together more than 1500 delegates from Israel and around the world. The international nature of the high-quality scientific program is sure to bring a unique forum from which innovative ideas take hold in the presence of different cultures and professional backgrounds.

I am delighted that Preventive Nutrition United Forces has partnered this year with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics international affiliate, AODA, to bring you experts and leaders from the international community of food and nutrition professionals and those representing allied fields of study. AODA is made up of over 850 dietitians, registered dietetic technicians and nutritionists living in nearly 70 different countries around the globe. Together with the state affiliates, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association) makes up the largest professional nutrition organization in the world, with 72,000 members. Since the Academy’s Strategic Plan Roadmap seeks to work cooperatively with the international community of food and nutrition professionals, this collaboration is particularly exciting. I look forward to presenting at the conference, making new connections with international participants, and experiencing the rich culture of Israel.

See you in June!
Highest regards,

Sylvia Escott-Stump, MA, RD, LDN
